Last night my phone was dead, i didn’t  charge it for a couple of days and it should 0% battery charge in Phone status, so i finally decided to charge my phone. But when i connected the AC adapter to the phone, it showed “Charging Alien Battery”. It was quite weird, it usually shows “Optimized charging” and if i am charging it with the USB cable through my computer it simply shows “Charging”. I was wondering what “alien battery” means. So i quickly went online to google it out and went thought some messages in some forums, some one posted that its because of a virus, some told it because the battery is not genuine Sony Ericsson battery. But i very well know that the battery i have is a genuine one. Another guy in one of those forum posted that a reset will fix this issue, so i synced the phone with my computer and copied all my contacts to my outlook express and performed the reset. And still it was showing “charging Alien battery”. Finally i tried cleaning the metal contacts in the phone, where i connect it to the charger and also i took the battery out and cleaned the contacts in the battery as well. And tried charging the phone, and to my surprise it worked, it showed “Optimized Charging”. So it was some dust particles in the metal contacts which was creating the problem. Pheew! i thought i would end up buying a new battery.

Gmail theme

Its yet another surprise from Gmail, last week they introduced the video and audio chat in gmail and now gmail themes are out where you can choose from a hand full of themes for your mail. Following the footsteps of Google’s personalized homepage, Gmail added themes. I was expecting a lot from Gautham Menon, but the movie was just bad ! Its just a bad movie, certainly not as bad as other Tamil movies in the recent times. Surya’s acting was pretty good, but never had i expected a bad movie from such a brilliant Director.  I think Gautham Menon didn’t come out of the sorrow of his father’s death some months back. He has even portrayed aged character of Surya like his own father and the movie is full of Father sentiment and too much romance in the 1st half. The second half made me feel like i was watching a completely different movie, i was waiting for the movie to end after the interval.
