I was in Salem last night as i went there for my sisters Valaikaappu(Its the usual ceremony done when any women is pregnant). My brother-in-law(mama) told that, we could Booz that night, but i was hesitating to accept. I do smoke with him but never ever had drunk. Finally i decided to go for it. We went to a bar near by around 11 pm and he told that some more people are yet to come. So we were waiting for a while and then they arrived. Oh my goodness they are quite old people, probably in their 50’s, all his relatives and i know them very well. I fell really embarrassed to sit there, cos i have never drunk with old people(except Magesh 
). My Mama ordered me a large initially, i really don’t want to drink with them , really! Then every one found out that i was feeling shy, but then they encouraged me to drink with them and told that there is nothing wrong in this kind of social drinking, i was still not ready to drink with them. Then finally my mamaasked me at least to have a beer. Finally had 2 bottles of beer and stopped with it cos i was sure of one thing, i should not get stoned 
. Then went to the lodge and slept.

Not with family da. Some relatives, with whom i am not that close. The only problem is they were old.

The point Gowtham is saying that it is weird to drink with people who you know from when you were a small kid.
Naresh, don’t be silly. People drink all over the world. My uncles and grandparents get together for drinks parties too. Grow up.

It is quite weird to drink in front of people you know. It’s even weirder when they also join in.
The same is true not just with drinking. It is associated with a lot many things. Movies for instance

At this age, dude? Is it really wise? You shouldn’t drink, you’ll get liver cirrhosis and stuff like that. Be smart, don’t touch alcohol or drugs. You’ll be proud of yourself.
I think I know what you mean by being uncomfortable when you’re having a drink with people who you grew up with, but then you shouldn’t drink. You shouldn’t drink under any circumstances, actually. It’s bad for your liver.
