I turn off my computer and leave my room and when i return back after half an hour or so, the computer is ON. Doesn’t it sound spooky?
I have been experiencing this problem for some time. But this doesn’t occur always, It happens once in every 5 shut down or so,where i leave my UPS turned ON. So these days i will have to wait, turn off the UPS and leave. No no,i don’t have any problem with turning off my ups and leave but why is this bizarre thing happening.
I just got a feeling that my comp got haunted 
Does anyone knows what is going on? Any solutions ??

Hi,
1 .You may check your system schedule tasks. Start->Programs->Accessories->system tools->scheduled tasks. This Wizard is waking up your system automatically from HYPERNATION.
2.Otherwise search “reboot batch file (scheduledbootxp.bat) “from your system and open this file via schedule task vizard , change the automatic power on settings.
3.If you are using any antivirus scanner in your system means open and see the task seetings , if you find any “automatic poweron task” try to change that.

My file server does that, I forgot how I did it. When it was connected to a modem I could get it to start by ringing the modem. Pretty cool.

My monitor gets on every now and then. Therefore, I never shut it down :p
